Q: What if someone already has the name I wanted? A: It is easy to select another name. However, it is okay if more than one character uses a same, very common name.
Q: How do I get into a battle? A: The group is not all about battles, but they happen pretty often, since this is an "RPG" based on Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Do try to be specific when you post. Make sure that everyone knows who your character is speaking to or attacking.
Q: The guy I'm fighting and/or talking to isn't responding, what do I do? A: Wait a bit longer, they may not be able to get on the internet or something, or may have missed your post. E-mail them and ask them if they received the post and specify it. If you get no response, then e-mail me, and I will help, as always. Find my mail on the left.
Q: I'm not on the page yet, when are you going to add me? A: We probably haven't updated yet. You may still be in the group even if you aren't on the page, so don't fret about it. You're always allowed to post in DBZSF, being on the site is not a requirement. The page will be updated eventually and when it is, you and your characters will get added. However, you must do one legitimate post to get on the site. This is to prevent clutter.
A: About nothing. Characters are revived all of the time in this group.
A: First, you have to be added to the group. If you have not been added yet, it could be that the moderators haven't got around to it. If you haven't been added, feel free to e-mail and ask why. Then, after you're in, (you'll receive a mail confirming it) you will be able to post messages by sending them to dbzsf@yahoogroups.com. Be careful not to send DBZSF posts to any other address, or else they will only be seen by the person you sent the mail to. If the post does not get sent to the right address, it will NOT be valid. It is okay to sit back and watch other people post so that you can get the hang of how it is done. More tips: Make sure you follow the rules, write at the TOP of the e-mail, and send your post to dbzsf@yahoogroups.com, and everyone in the group will receive it. If you wish to speak as yourself, and not as one of your characters, then use OOC (Out Of Character) and type whatever you need to after it. You may still post for your characters in the same posts by skipping down a paragraph after your OOC message and typing BIC (Back In Character) followed by your post. Please use OOCs sparingly unless they are accompanied by BICs.
Q: Nobody is replying to my mails, are they ignoring me? A: Not necessarily. It may not be possible for people to reply to your post. Like if you say "Cramio (Example name) gets ready for battle" and make him say, "Come on, who wants to fight?" (bad example, I admit) If nobody's character is around, they can't reply. However, if the character is attacked directly, there isn't anything you can do to get out of it. Attack ignoring is not allowed and you must reply. If you're still interested in your character or characters being noticed, try to make your character meet somebody, or see somebody as they go by, or something like that. Make sure this is done while following the rules. Also see "How do I get into a battle?"
Q: Is there such thing as Dragon Ball AF? A: No. Sorry to disappoint you Dragon Ball AF followers, but it's all made up. Super Saiyajin 5 is made up as well. The shows ended after Dragon Ball GT. The saga only includes Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT. To some people, like me, Dragon Ball GT isn't even canon, as Toriyama didn't write it.
Q: If Dragon Ball AF doesn't exist, then can I still have a Super Saiyajin 5 character? A: Yes, you can. If you have a Super Saiyajin 4 character who is growing in power, then that character can rise on up to the next level. Super Saiyajin 5's have no design, therefore you can make them look however you want, no Super Saiyajin 5's have to look the same.
Q: How do we decide who wins battles? A: Well, a good member will eventually make his character lose or retreat or something. They may get bored and leave, for example, or run away to avoid a beating. This is not a competition for power, so a good member won't let a battle run on forever. Still, I like to see a good long fight sometimes.
Q: People keep attacking my character and won't stop! What do I do? A: Often times there is nothing you can do. The other members have the same freedoms as you and thus can attack any other character they want to. You can try to e-mail the person and ask them politely to not attack your character and give good reasons why that you don't want to fight. Perhaps you can set up other plans with the person if you get to know them. Regardless of what happens, attacks cannot be ignored. A: If you break the rules after being warned or are very blatant and intent on breaking the rules, you will be moderated or removed from the group. Moderation is when your posts have to be approved by the moderators before they can be accepted into the group. If you continue to break rules while moderated, your messages won't be accepted and you will perhaps even be kicked out. Please refer to the rules. Q: How do I add a new character? A: Making a new character is not a problem in DBZSF. Just make the character anytime you want to. If you want the character to have a biography on the site, just use the join feature again. Once you are a member, it acts as a character bio adder instead. |
